Thanks to El Niño, the Sierras have actually seen some snow this winter, which means you can inevitably find at least one Peak member working from Tahoe at any given time. Peak’s Director of Business Development, Annie Nyborg, headed up recently for some snow fun and to check out her buddy’s new A-frame cabin.
The cabin sits near the base of Mt. Tallac, with a trailhead about a half mile up the road. Saturday’s forecast called for rain but Annie (armed with her camera, Capture Clip and Shell) and the crew decided to head up the mountain for some snow shoeing and backcountry skiing.
The humans were accompanied by their furry friends, Frankie & Boogie. Boogie was rescued from the hot California Central Valley…turns out the snow suits him far better. Never has there been a happier beast.
By Saturday night, the rain had turned to snow. On Sunday morning the gang woke up to this….
Ski season is winding down but that just means backpacking season is around the corner. See you out there!
